Dr Georges Thiry holds a PhD in Science, Microbiology & Genetics from the University of Liège (Belgium), and is a Project Manager Professional from PMI. He worked on research & development of veterinary vaccines (Solvay) and human vaccines in large pharma (GSK), NGO (PATH, IAVI, TBVI), institute (IVI), and biotech (Hookipa), in Europe, USA, Africa and Asia. He developed human vaccines against Rotavirus, RSV, Flu, HIV, TB, Dengue and Cytomegalovirus. He is the former Director of the Dengue Vaccine Initiative. He is now consultant.
