The Governance Board of TBVI is pleased to announce the following senior leadership appointments:
- The Executive Director of TBVI is Dr Nick Drager, previously Chair of the TBVI Advisory Committee. He succeeds Dr Jelle Thole, former Executive Director TBVI, who resigned per May 2014, and Prof. Douglas Young, interim Executive Director of TBVI in 2014;
- The TBVI Scientific Team is composed of Prof. Tom Ottenhoff, Professor of Immunology, Head group Immunology and Immunogenetics of Bacterial Infectious Diseases, Leiden University Medical Center; Dr Jelle Thole, Chief Scientific Officer at Intravacc; and Dr Frank Verreck, Head TB Research, Department of Parasitology, Biomedical Primate Research Centre. These team members will maintain their current institutional affiliations.
New chair of TBVI Advisory Committee
The TBVI Governance Board is also pleased to announce that Prof. Helen McShane, Wellcome Trust Senior Clinical Research Fellow and Professor of Vaccinology, University of Oxford, and member of the TBVI Advisory Committee, has been appointed as the new Chair of the TBVI Advisory Committee.
