ADITEC
Accelerating the development of novel and powerful immunisation technologies
Aditec is a collaborative research programme that aims to accelerate the development of novel and powerful immunisation technologies for the next generation of human vaccines. Scientists from 12 countries and 42 research partners collaborate in the ADITEC (Advanced Immunization Technologies) project, that received a 30 Million euro grant from the European Union. The project focusses on tuberculosis, influenza and herpes.
Aditec comprises some of the most competitive European research groups from universities, research institutions and biotech companies together with top US groups on systems biology and adjuvants. All possible aspects of vaccination, from basic research, new technologies to clinical trials and public health, are covered.
Aditec is a 5-year project and is funded by the EU 7th Framework Programme.
The following partners form the research consortium:
Sclavo Vaccines Association (Italy), Statens Serum Institut (Denmark), St George University of London (UK), Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology (Germany), Institute Pasteur (France), University of Oxford (UK), University of Siena (Italy), University of Geneva (Switzerland), Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics s.r.l.
