International Conference on Human Immunity to Tuberculosis
13-04-12 - 14-04-12
TBVI sponsors this first international meeting dedicated to human immunity to tuberculosis. The ongoing TB epidemic, together with unprecedented methods and opportunities to discover mechanisms and limitations of human immunity to TB makes this a timely meeting. While the meeting is not focused on TB vaccine development, the information presented and discussed will contribute to the design and development of optimal TB vaccines.
A unique feature of the meeting will be an emphasis on the important knowledge gaps and unknowns that currently limit the understanding of human TB. Speakers will present the latest new information and knowledge in their field of expertise, and each will also discuss their perspective on the important topics and questions that need to be solved in order to make major advances in the field of human TB immunity.
A notable group of international experts in the field will speak and will lead discussions. Among them are several scientists from TBVI's research partners.
More information can be found on the conference website.
