5. Jojanneke Nieuwenhuis MA

Jojanneke Nieuwenhuis is TBVI’s associate communications and advocacy relations. She is responsible for communicating TBVI’s mission and activities to a variety of audiences such as partners, allies, politicians and the media.

Before joining TBVI, Jojanneke has lived, studied and worked in several European and African countries. She has a background in journalism and media production and a degree in Refugee Studies.

Jojanneke: “Working with TBVI gives me the opportunity to support long term solutions that can fight a horrible disease. It’s a challenge to translate the rather complicated and scientific process of developing vaccines, into messages that can reach different audiences. This job is the perfect bridge between my background in journalism and communication and my interest in international environments, health and the non-profit sector.”
