Our mission:
TBVI supports, integrates, translates and prioritises R&D efforts to discover and develop new tuberculosis vaccines that are accessible and affordable for all people.

TBVI focuses support, integration, translation and prioritisation on the following activities:
Support
Provide support through acquisition, management, coordination, and financing of projects for TB vaccine R&D. TBVI focuses on projects for discovery, preclinical and clinical development until proof of concept studies and on financial support and provision of expertise for phase III efficacy testing of TB vaccines.
Integration
Bring together efforts of globally leading universities, governmental institutes, biotech and vaccine companies through TB vaccine and correlates of protection projects. Achieve optimal global synergy between these entities in TB vaccine and biomarker R&D.
Translation
Stimulate translation by Product Development Team (PDT), Clinical Development Team (CDT), and Biomarker Development Team (BDT, to be developed).
Prioritisation
Portfolio management of vaccines and biomarkers by (down) selection of vaccine and biomarker candidates, according to gating criteria and complementarity to other global efforts.
