Responsible recipient of donations

TBVI is a responsible recipient of donations. We make sure our financial resources are used as much as possible for our objectives: research on new tuberculosis vaccins. In 2008 only 8% of our budget was spent on support services (see our annual report).

Fundraising ambition
TBVI's fundraising ambition is to raise € 200 million in the coming 10 years, needed for

  • 37 vaccine projects from discovery to phase I: € 136 mln.
  • 30 biomarkers/correlates at various stages: € 34.2 mln.
  • clinical sites supports: € 30 mln.

TBVI approaches the European Union, European member states, (pharmaceutical) industries, companies, foundations and private donors to support its activities.
